# Pacco vs ShootProof: galleries or the whole back office for 2026

_Pacco · June 12, 2026 · 5 min read_

> ShootProof bundles contracts and invoices; Pacco focuses on delivery. An honest 2026 comparison: pricing, EU posture, RAW, and migration.

ShootProof's promise is that the tabs go away. Contract, invoice, gallery, print order: one login, one client record, one place where the business side of a shoot lives. Pacco's promise is narrower on purpose: deliver the photographs beautifully and let your contracts live wherever they already do. Comparing the two is less about features and more about how much platform you want wrapped around your photography.

We make Pacco. Same rules as our other comparisons: every ShootProof claim is sourced and dated, the trade-offs run both ways, and there's a real recommendation at the end, including the cases where it isn't us.

## What this comparison covers

Both products deliver client galleries with proofing and digital sales. ShootProof adds a real back office: lawyer-drafted contract templates with e-signing and full invoicing with installments and autopay, included on all paid plans ([contracts](https://www.shootproof.com/features/contracts-for-photographers/), [invoices](https://www.shootproof.com/features/invoices-for-photographers/), checked 2026-06-12). Pacco does none of that and pairs with whatever CRM or paperwork tool you already run.

One recent wrinkle worth knowing: ShootProof acquired the Táve CRM in 2019, then Táve was sold to VSCO in May 2025 and relaunched as VSCO Workspace ([coverage](https://www.slrlounge.com/inside-vscos-acquisition-of-tave-a-game-changer-for-creatives/)). Studios that ran on the ShootProof-plus-Táve pairing have been re-deciding their stack since; if that's you, you're exactly who this comparison is for.

## Where Pacco wins

**RAW upload.** ShootProof accepts JPEG only, 50 MB per file ([accepted file types](https://help.shootproof.com/hc/en-us/articles/115009451127-What-file-types-are-accepted-), checked 2026-06-12). Pacco takes RAW straight from your card's folder and generates previews in the background. If originals are part of what you sell, the workflow difference is daily.

**Storage-based plans instead of photo counting.** ShootProof's tiers are capped by photo count: 100 free, then 1,500, 5,000, 25,000, unlimited ([plans](https://www.shootproof.com/plans/)). A wedding-season studio shooting 600 keepers per event does that arithmetic constantly. Pacco plans are storage-based: Free 5 GB, Pro 100 GB, Studio unlimited; nobody counts frames.

**EU residency and VAT-clean billing.** ShootProof is an Atlanta company with no published EU data residency option (checked 2026-06-12). Pacco's controller is in Brussels, photos sit on Cloudflare R2 in the EU, the CDN is Bunny, analytics is Pirsch, and pricing is in EUR with VAT handled correctly for both consumers and businesses.

**French end to end.** ShootProof's client galleries speak 18 languages including French ([gallery languages](https://help.shootproof.com/hc/en-us/articles/115010151708-What-languages-are-supported-in-the-client-galleries)), which is genuinely good, but the photographer dashboard is English-only. Pacco is French and English on both sides of the glass.

**A full custom domain, not a stitched subdomain.** ShootProof supports a custom subdomain like proofs.yourstudio.com through DNS setup ([their guide](https://help.shootproof.com/hc/en-us/articles/115009450987-How-do-I-set-up-a-Custom-Subdomain)). Pacco's Pro tier includes the custom domain as a first-class feature.

## Where ShootProof wins

**The paperwork is in the box.** E-signed contracts from LawTog templates, invoices with installments, autopay and automatic reminders, on every paid plan, with no commission taken. For a solo photographer who doesn't want a separate CRM subscription, this consolidation is the whole pitch, and it's a good one.

**Zero commission on sales.** ShootProof takes 0% on digital and print sales beyond card processing ([imaging overview](https://www.shootproof.com/imaging/)). Their margin is the subscription, not your sales.

**Print fulfillment on both continents.** Partner labs in the US plus Loxley Colour in Scotland serving 18+ European countries, and a self-fulfillment mode where you can sell products the labs don't make ([labs](https://www.shootproof.com/labs/)). Pacco has no lab integration today.

**Seventeen years and a Lightroom pipeline.** Founded in 2009, with a free Lightroom Classic plugin that publishes galleries without exporting ([plugin](https://www.shootproof.com/blog/new-shootproof-lightroom-plugin/)), and connections from Studio Ninja, 17hats, Iris Works and others on their side ([partners](https://www.shootproof.com/integrated-partners/)).

> [!NOTE]
> The honest gap, both directions: Pacco has no contracts, invoicing, print store or importer, and no native client app. ShootProof's mobile gallery apps are home-screen web apps capped at 250 photos, from which clients can't download files ([their FAQ](https://help.shootproof.com/hc/en-us/articles/115009990507-How-do-my-clients-install-a-Mobile-App)). Neither of us ships a true client App Store app.

## Pricing in EUR

ShootProof prices in USD only, as of 2026-06-12: free for 100 photos, then $8.33, $16.67, $26.67 and $50 per month on annual billing as the photo cap rises ([plans](https://www.shootproof.com/plans/)). What lands on an EU card depends on the day's rate and your bank's FX fee, and VAT treatment is on you to reconcile.

Pacco prices in EUR: Free, Pro at €15/month, Studio at €39/month. EU consumers see VAT-inclusive totals; EU businesses with a VAT ID get reverse-charge invoices. If you bill clients in euros and file VAT returns, having your tooling do the same removes a small permanent tax on your attention.

## Migration friction

Leaving ShootProof for Pacco is mechanically simple and administratively real. Galleries: re-upload from your local archive, rebrand, re-share; an active job takes an afternoon, an archive takes a project, and Pacco has no automated importer today. The administrative part is the bigger question: contracts and invoices don't migrate anywhere, so you need a destination for paperwork (your CRM, or staying on a minimal ShootProof plan during a transition) before you move the galleries.

## Who should pick ShootProof over Pacco

- **Solo photographers who want one subscription for galleries, contracts and invoices**, and would rather not run a CRM at all.
- **Studios selling prints in volume**, on either continent, where the 0% commission and Loxley's European fulfillment do monthly work.
- **High-count shooters on the Unlimited plan** who deliver tens of thousands of JPEGs and never touch RAW handoff.

If your paperwork already has a home, if RAW delivery is part of your offer, or if you want EUR pricing and EU-resident client data by default, Pacco is the focused version of this product category. [Start with the free tier](/en/pricing/) and bring one gallery over.
